The Dark Knight Review: My thoughts Empty
PostSubject: The Dark Knight Review: My thoughts   The Dark Knight Review: My thoughts I_icon_minitimeWed Jul 18, 2012 10:00 pm

As we are approaching the release date for The Dark Knight Rises I would like to make reviews for Batman Begins and The Dark Knight and my opinion about these two films.

STORY: I thought this story was very well put together and I thought this story was better than Batman Begins but they were both great though. i liked the idea that we didn't really get a backstory to the Joker because to me it adds significance and it makes him more interesting. I liked this take on Harvey Dent/Two Face and how he became to be. I thought that it was cool how much Joker can get to people because Joker turned this white knight into the exact opposite of what Harvey actually was. The story overall was fantastic.

THE WRITING: The writing once again impresses me and have some very memorable lines that are very true in the real world as well. Then there are other sayings where 'I had never thought about that...' and many of those lines were by the Joker. The writing fits every character and it all came together correctly in the end.

THE ACTING: The acting was just as great as the last one and Heath Ledger completely lost his self in the character he played in and he deserved his Oscar. RIP Heath. Maggie Gyllenhaal in my opinion was better at playing Rachel than Katie Holmes, Maggie Gyllenhaal was good but not great. Aaron Eckhart was amazing as Harvey Dent/ Two Face and I was blown away with his performance along with Heath's. Overall everyone was great.

THE SCORE/SOUNDTRACK: The score by Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard was amazing as usual and all those tracks is my favorite but the one that sticks out the most to me is Joker's theme which is the first one the soundtrack. I never heard any kind of score so unique like this and its just perfect.

NEGATIVES: 1. This movie is missing the stealth to take out enemies and using fear as his weapon that I loved in Batman Begins.

9.5/10
